New educational activities

Hi {firstname},

Sometimes it is quite a challenge to keep kids busy in a positive way, so that they can learn something while they are having fun.

Here is an activity that requires only a minimum of preparation. You probably have the required items already. You can start this colour sorting game with just three colours, for example, and then increase the difficulty by adding more colours.

What gave me the idea for this game, is the wide assortment of colours of Lego bricks in a large Lego Classic Box that I had bought. It contains so many pieces that it allows for many, many creative building projects. I plan to use these Legos in future projects.

This box is also a very nice gift for children 4 years of age and up.

A seventh-grade student from Virginia, USA came up with the name for the rover vehicle that will land on Mars on February 18, 2021. The name he proposed is "Perseverance".

The mission launched on July 30 of this year. Onboard the rover is a computer chip on which are engraved the names of over 10 million people who wanted to be part of the voyage (well, who wanted their names to be part of it). If I had known, I would have asked that "Animaplates" be on that list!

The NASA website contains many Mars-related resources, like for example these short videos that explain (in simple language) what it takes to go and explore the red planet. Fascinating for anyone who is interested in space!
