What a change in the world since my last newsletter! It's hard to think about something other than the fate of the Ukrainian people. Especially the children, who must hide from bombs in underground shelters when that is possible, or flee their homeland with their mother.

Animaplates decided to donate 50% of the amount of our sales in March to Save the Children, an international charity that is very active in Ukraine and neighbouring countries to help the children affected by the war.

If you were planning to buy an Animaplates membership, now is the time. Paying members do not see advertisements on our website.

 

Since the invasion began on February 24, our dove projects, including the Peace Dove, are very popular. I think that many people realize that you should never take anything for granted, and be grateful for peace and happiness while you have it, because things can change very rapidly.

Kids feel it when adults are nervous, even if we don't express it in words. The worry doll can help to make them talk about their emotions, and reassure them.

 

Something else entirely: I received pictures that show an original way to put out fat balls with seeds for the birds. I talk about that in more detail in this blog post.

 

Most of the time it is still quite cold here and I took advantage of the opportunity to do some simple experiments that show how low tempratures can change everyday objects.
