It looks like summer is a season with many national holidays. Luxemburg and Canada just had their special days, and soon it will be the United States, France, Belgium and Switzerland. Even Australia Day (usually on January 26) is no exception because it occurs during the summer in the southern hemisphere.
That may all be coincidence, but one advantage of this situation is that the weather is usually good for watching the fireworks that are part of many national celebrations.
If it is too hot to play outside, here is an activity that can be done indoors.
