Have you already started to prepare Christmas? Many people start early this year to brighten up the last months of a difficult and trying year.

Go for a walk in the forest and pick up lots of pine cones to make this beautiful home-made Christmas wreath. I already hung mine on my front door!

Here are two other ways to make Christmas wreaths, in case you are unable to get pine cones. The first one is finger-painted; ideal for tiny hands. The second wreath is made with leaves cut from two shades of green construction paper. The document includes patterns for two different leaf shapes.

If you cannot leave your home because of a lockdown, take advantage of museums everywhere that offer free virtual visits.

In Ottawa, near where I live, there is a marvelous Museum of Nature that you can explore virtually without leaving your home. You can walk through the various exhibition rooms at your own pace.

The dinosaurs exhibition is especially popular. If you prefer a guided tour, a whole series of videos is available that explain the various displays.
