Hi {firstname},
Father's Day was first celebrated in 1910. It was initiated in Spokane, WA by a young American woman whose father raised her and 5 other children by himself after his wife died in childbirth.
Over time, celebrating Father's Day became popular thoughout the United States but it wasn't until 1966 that President Lynden B. Johnson officially declared the third Sunday in June to be Father's Day.
This week, I want to show you a project through which kids can show their appreciation of the role their Dad plays in the family: an award rosette that proclaims that he is the best Dad in the world!
With the patterns included in the document, this rosette is very easy to make.
In France, Father's Day was "invented" in 1952 by a manufacturer of lighters, who suggested to celebrate fathers (many of whom were smokers) by giving them a lighter as a gift.
Today, many fathers don't smoke. But kids can still make them happy by creating a nice card for Father's Day, for example this card with neckties on a clothesline.

a colouring page with dinosaurs and a spot-the-differences game with a bee.
All printables are yours with a Pro membership. As well, today's new project is free for Pro members!
