Ornaments made with puzzle pieces

Aren’t incomplete jigsaw puzzles frustrating? The reward for long hours spent completing a puzzle is to finally see the complete picture. So when you think you have finished but you realize some pieces are missing, you may be tempted just to throw the whole thing away.

Wait! Keep your puzzle because it is not completely lost. You can give it a second chance at life by using it for visual arts projects.

For example, you could use the puzzle pieces to make quite original Christmas ornaments. This is an activity that can be done in the classroom, at daycare or at home. You only need a few simple and inexpensive supplies such as paint, glitter, beads, feathers, pompoms, etc.

This unique project allows everyone to use their creativity.

The hole for the ribbon in the puzzle piece can be made in advance. If children do it, they should be supervised.
