Are you looking for an original craft idea for Father’s Day? Are you searching for a craft that looks good and that kids can make themselves?

Here is a project for which you probably already have all the supplies. To make this pencil holder, you need an empty frozen juice can, and a few yards of twine or rope.

If you like, paint the can beige to prevent the original colours from showing through the rope. Then coat the entire can with diluted white glue.

Wind the twine around the can, starting at the bottom. If you use a thick rope you’ll be done faster but with a thin twine your pencil holder will look more distinguished.

And there you are: your Father’s Day gift is ready.
