Menorah for Hanukkah

The chanukiah is a candle holder with nine branches used in the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. In the original version, the nine branches hold cups filled with (olive) oil. The middle flame is used to light the other eight, from right to left, one each day during the eight days of Hanukkah.

This version is a chanukiah adapted for children. The flames are LED candle lights, without danger for the little ones.

Making this menorah with your children is a great way to prepare for Hanukkah!

Note: If you don’t celebrate Hanukkah, you can adapt this idea and make a candle holder with as many candles as you want.
