Tiger Mask
The beauty and strength of the tiger made it a coveted target for hunters. During the twentieth century, the number of tigers on our planet has decreased catastrophically and several sub-species have completely disappeared. Now that hunting is no longer allowed, other human activities continue to threaten the survival of the tiger.
It is crucially important to make children aware of the importance of biodiversity and of the survival of engangered species like the tiger. This visual arts project can be an excellent starting point for a lesson on these topics.
The project guide includes two versions of masks, depending on the materials you have access to. There is also a variant for “tiny hands”, suitable for younger children.
The teaching resources consist of 3 pages full of interesting facts.
