Here is how to make a pompom using only your hands.

Take a ball of yarn and wrap the yarn around one of your hands.

When you feel there is enough yarn around your hand, cut the thread and remove the yarn from your hand.

Take a piece of yarn of about 12 to 15 inches and wrap it around the centre of the yarn you removed from your hand.

Make a double knot as tight as possible. Make another loop around the yarn and again tighten it very well and make a double knot. It is important to tighten the yarn so that the threads of the pompom stay in place.

Cut the loops on either side of the central knot to form the pompom.

If necessary, trim the yarn threads to obtain a pretty pompom.
